I bought the knitted weighted blanket to go on top of my king bed and it has been fantastic. It is always at the foot of the bed and can be pulled up if I feel I need a little extra weight. It's also great for naps with just the weighted blanket. The weave is breathable and the blanket as a whole actually has a cooling effect sometimes (maybe because of all the metal in it). Below are some pros/cons over my last 4 months of use.Pros:- Very large and can cover about half of a kingsized bed- Breathable, cooling effect- Heavy, but not stiflingCons:- The edges are permanently rolled up, no matter what you try to do- It is easy for the fabric to get pulls in it if you have a pet that sleeps with youI would liken the weight and thickness of this blanket to an area rug, with the feel of a nice polyblend cable knit sweater. It’s definitely heavy, though it doesn’t apply the type of consistent pressure that the bead filled blankets do [before they get old and the beads shift]; to me that’s not a problem, it still feels very secure. It keeps me warm but not hot, and I really like being able to put it in the washing machine without worrying about beads leaking out of it. Plus it smoothes out so nicely when I make the bed. I was hesitant to spend the money on it but I’m really glad I did; I quite love my blanket.This thing weighs a lot! Get ready to be hugged. It drapes well and is very comfortable.FYI, if you have cats (or maybe a dog with claws) they will pull at it just as a matter of course (the Bearaby as well, but not quite so much). However, the thread used by the manufacturer is quite strong, as after several months none of the threads has snapped. It is well covered with pulls, but with patience I can stretch the pulls back into the weave.——-I’ve also noticed that one side has a diagonal pattern that looks nicer and is also significantly softer and more comfortable. I recommend putting the diagonal weave side down.
